Teen Wolf fans can now put a name to season 5's bone-chilling villains.

Originally identified simply as the Doctors, the lanky, masked physicians have a more formal title - the Dread Doctors.
Well, if the MTV series was going for ominous, they hit the nail on the head.

Series creator Jeff Davis announced the baddies identity while speaking with Hypable, but he stopped short of mentioning whether or not the creatures will have any connection to classic lore. From werewolves to banshees to kanimas, all of Beacon Hill's supernatural creatures could previously be found in the pages of the Argent's bestiary. Now, however, it seems the rules have changed.
"As always, we bring in some new mysteries and new monsters," Davis previously told TV Line. "I think this season is very much about the line between science and supernatural."
The Dread Doctors will be blurring this line, or so promos will lead you to believe, but it is unknown if these villains are a product of a similar venture.
