The Disney Channel is known for putting out some incredible star power including Vanessa Hudgens from the High School Musical franchise and Demi Lovato most notably known for her roles on Sonny with a Chance and the Camp Rock movies alongside the Jonas Brothers.

Many of the former Disney Channel stars have not had the best things to say about the network upon leaving it.

For instance, the Sprouse twins, Cole and Dylan, who were known for their hijinks on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and its spin-off, left their Disney fame behind to attend college.

The twins actually "quit" according to Dylan in an interview from 2013. They even pitched an idea to the network, which the network shot down. Disney Channel then pitched to them the same idea with little tweaks. Ultimately it didn't sit well with the brothers so they walked away.

"That was the last meeting we had with Disney," Dylan recalled.

The Disney Channel has quite the reputation for not being that great to its roster of entertainers. The latest former Disney Channel star to diss the network is Stefanie Scott who was known for her bratty, cheerleader character Lexi Reed on A.N.T. Farm.

The 18-year-old recently told BuzzFeed about how difficult it was working for Disney.

She currently stars in Insidious: Chapter 3, which released earlier this month and portrays a girl named Quinn with real problems.

"Quinn is an authentic teenage girl. She's not the girl in her bra who has one make out scene, gets scared by a ghost, and then murdered," Scott shared.

She revealed she struggled with portraying Lexi on A.N.T. Farm since she had "to sugarcoat everything all the time.

"That's one of the hardest things, not being able to express myself in a certain way or being stuck having to promote something or say something you don't believe in. It's kind of hard after a while when you are feeling things and having a rough time in your personal life and you can't express your emotions through your work," the actress dished.

Scott seems to have broken out of the Disney mold like many others that have come before her so perhaps all has turned out well despite her not enjoying her time with the network.
