'Days of Our Lives' Spoilers: Eric & Nicole Are Rescued But Is It Too Late? [VIDEO]
They were facing certain death in Xander's (Paul Telfer) hands, but now, there could still be a small ray of hope for Eric (Greg Vaughn) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) after they are rescued from their situation on Days of Our Lives.
Despite Xander's best efforts to keep help from arriving, Daniel (Shawn Christian), Serena (Melissa Archer) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) were able to find their missing friends when they arrived at Nicole's office, noted how hot the building was, and went down to the boiler room, where they saw the vents blocked off. After removing the obstructions, they were able to get inside the vent, where they found Eric and Nicole and were able to get them out.
And while Eric appeared to still be alive and just severely injured with burns from his attempts to knock the vent cover off, Nicole's condition was far worse, as she no longer had a pulse and needed medical attention immediately. Now, both of Xander's intended victims will be rushed to the hospital in an attempt to save them before it is too late.
Meanwhile, Serena will find herself dragged into the police station for questioning, as she is the one who knew Xander might have been responsible for the pair going missing, and had voiced her concerns he may have been trying to kill them. Now, she will need to come clean entirely about the scheme to smuggle the blood diamonds, and how Xander swore revenge on Nicole for her snooping into the plot.
Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
