She was floored when she returned home to the Forrester Mansion and found both her mother and father waiting there for her, and now, Maya (Karla Mosley) will have her first true face-to-face conversation with them since her transition on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Nicole Lashes Out At Julius & Vivienne

She was completely disowned by her parents after they refused to accept and understand that she was transgender and would only be happy living her life as a woman--but now, following the big reveal to the world about her past, her parents have come to Los Angeles so they can bring her sister, Nicole (Reign Edwards) back home and keep her away from Maya's potential influence. However, when Julius (Obba Babtunde) reveals himself to his daughter for the first time in years, he will shock Maya with not only a warm hug, but meaningful words--including referring to her as his daughter, and not his son, for the first time.

However, his sudden change of heart won't take away the hurt Maya has felt because of the rejection she received for years--and she will make sure her parents understand how that actually feels.

Julius Arrives In Los Angeles

"There's only so many times that you can hear someone tell you that you're sick, and bad, and a freak, before you either start to believe it yourself, or you decide that you're not so terrible," she says to her parents in a preview clip for the Monday, July 13 episode.

However, even after she confronts them for their neglectful and hurtful behaviors, when her father seems to genuinely have a change of heart and says he wants to get to know her as herself, Maya could find herself softening to them.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
