The early struggles of the Los Angeles Lakers (6-7) are now well-noted, and they currently find themselves on the verge of reaching another less-than-ideal mark, they're worst road start in the last 19 years.  The Lakers will go up against the Dallas Mavericks (7-6), who will look to build on the momentum from one of their most impressive wins of the season.

Despite the blockbuster acquisitions of Dwight Howard and Steve Nash, Los Angeles still started out the 2012-13 season with a 1-4 record.  To add insult to injury (no pun intended), Nash has been on the sidelines for the last eleven games with a bruised left shin.

The team's lack of production ended up costing former head coach Mike Brown his job.  However, it did seem as though the Lakers had turned their luck around, as they went on to win five of their next six games, which included a victory over the Brooklyn Nets in Mike D'Antoni's bench debut.

Just when many thought that Los Angeles was successfully adapting to D' Antoni's fast-paced offense, the team began their struggles once again, losing 113-97 to last- place Sacramento and then falling to Memphis by a score of 106-98.

Despite the club's overall inconsistency, Kobe Bryant continued his above-stellar play putting up 30 points, but did so while only shooting 7 of 23.

The Lakers are attempting to avoid their first 0-5 away start since losing their first six road games in 1993 and are expecting their star-studded offense to inevitably shine thru.

"Offense is all about rhythm.  We had some sometimes, but we got to maintain the rhythm of the game and we are not there yet," explained D'Antoni to ESPN.
