The Los Angeles Lakers (7-7) will look to continue their progression under into new coach Mike D'Antoni's fast-paced offense when they go up against the Indiana Pacers (6-8) on Tuesday night.

The Lakers will kick off a three-game home series when they battle it out with the Pacers, who will be starting a four-game road trip that starts off at the Staples Center.

Los Angeles was able to reach the .500 mark once again when they beat the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday by a score of 115-98.  During the victory, the team had six players with double-digit figures that included Kobe Bryant, Metta World Peace and Antawn Jamison.  Bryant led the pack with 19 points.

Los Angeles was able to hit twelve 3-pointers, which included five from World Peace, for the third consecutive game.  Interestingly enough, the team was only able to hit 10 or more four times last season and have already tied that total.

Bryant is putting up 26.9 ppg while sporting a 51.0 shooting percentage in the field this year, which is his highest field goal percentage since the 2001-02 season (46.9 percent).

"I think the system has a lot to do with that.  We're spaced out a little bit more, I can penetrate and get to the free-throw line a lot more.  I have more lanes to the basket.  We don't have people on the block or in the post all the time, so it enables me to drive to the rim, draw fouls and get to the free-throw line a lot," Bryant said to ESPN.

The Lakers also received solid performances out of Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol in Saturday's game.  Howard finished the game with 15 points while Gasol racked up 13.
