Winning the lottery once takes a lot of luck and winning it seven times should be even harder, but one man has won numerous lotto jackpots and said others can too.

Florida-native Richard Lustig has won over $7 million in prizes from seven different lotto jackpots and appeared on "Good Morning America" on Tuesday to share his winning tips.

After multiple wins, Lustig wrote the book "Learn How to Increase Your Chances of Winning the Lottery," to try and help others share his success. Lustig shared some of his tips during the television interview, like always use the same numbers and stay away from playing quick picks. Lustig also said that people should always use their own numbers and do their research to see if they have ever won previously.

While it's true that buying more tickets increases a person's odds of winning, it's important to set a budget for exactly how many tickets to buy. Too many people get caught up in lottery fever and Lustig said it's easy to get carried away if there is no limit set. Never gamble with money needed for necessities like food or bills, he added.

Lustig's tips may help others win the $500 million Powerball jackpot. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 175 million, but Lustig's tips may help change those odds and help snatch the half a billion dollar grand prize.

So is it luck or skill?

"Luck has absolutely nothing to do with it," Lustig said in an interview with Fox 4 in Florida. "How can anybody in their right mind say this guy's won seven times he's just a lucky guy? Come on. Nobody can be that lucky."

Luck or not, the numbers don't lie. For more information on Lustig and his winning strategies check out his website
