Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton Says Baby has Been Kicking 'Very Much,' VIDEO
Kate Middleton talked with locals in the United Kingdom following her visit to a fishing museum and told one shop worker that her baby is very active.
Bobbie Brown, 42, waited for more than three hours to see the Duchess of Cambridge and said, "I asked her if the baby had been moving or kicking and she said 'Yes it is, very much so.' "
Middleton, 31, told another resident that it would be "a long time" before she becomes Queen of England, according to The Telegraph.
Before visiting a fire station in Grimsby she talked to patients from a local hospice. Claire Moss-Smith, 86, told Middleton, "I'm waiting for you to be Queen," to which the royal replied with a smile, "You might be waiting a long time."
Middleton later stopped by the Peaks Lane Fire Station and met youngsters enrolled in a program by The Prince's Trust that helps unemployed teens build up their confidence and develop their job-finding skills, the news report stated.
Middleton is due to give birth in July. If the baby is born July 1, he or she will share a birthday with Prince William's late mother Princess Diana. Middleton and Prince William, 30, married in April 2011 and their child, whether boy or girl, could be monarch one day since he or she is the first-born to the prince, who is second to the throne after his father Prince Charles. The child will be behind Prince William in the line of succession.
Middleton was recently spotted shopping for maternity clothes at a TopShop store in London. She purchased the brand's Deirde dress, a cap-sleeved floral number that is cinched at the waist, has a mandarin collar and a cross-over neckline. The dress sells for $55.
