On Saturday, Carter Matt released a synopsis of what's about to go down in the midseason finale. First thing is, Mary tries to figure out what kind of dark secret Prince Don Carlos is hiding and she gets help from Catherine. This leaves questions on how much will be discovered about this guy.

Also, the ambassador from the English court named Gideon arrives and he also might have something suspicious up his sleeve. And if that's not enough, Bash attempts to find the killer where a crazy incident might happen at Greer's tavern.

A Trio Of Charming Men Come To 'Reign'

Ever since the series killed off Francis, fans can only hope that no one else dies from here- this goes for the characters as well as the show, itself.

There has been some speculation that the royal drama might meet its fate after the third season ends. But based on a report from TV By The Numbers, ratings have improved to the point where the show could be a tossup for a cancellation or a renewal. But only time will tell for sure on where its future lies.

Other CW shows that have been speculated for cancellation include Crazy Ex Girlfriend and Jane the Virgin. Shows that are likely to stick around include Supernatural, The Flash, The Originals, The Vampire Diaries, Arrow and iZombie.
