It's been a long time coming, but 2016 is officially off to a good start for Blue Mountain State fans. They are finally rewarded for their patience with a first look at the highly anticipated Rise of Thadland movie!

Darin Brooks Teases News About 'BMS' Movie Coming Soon

2015 saw countless delays on the project, with news coming through at different points that the film had been delayed due to an initial NC-17 rating by the MPAA, and then that distributor Lionsgate was holding it up for unknown reasons. However, after promises from the stars that 2016 would bring new news about the film, things came through with a first look clip from the film that finally went live Jan. 5.

The clip features Alex (Darin Brooks) and some of the other Blue Mountain State Goats gathering together to try and get Thad's (Alan Ritchson) spirits up by creating his vision of Thadland. And fans who were worried the movie wouldn't have the same level of raunch that the initial Spike TV show had need not worry--there appears to be plenty of promises of sex, drugs and alcohol to keep the party alive.

2016 To See Big 'BMS' News?

The clip begins with Alex showing Thad his vision come to life, and the surprises in store for him only keep coming--especially when it begins to "snow" a white powdery substance.

And of course, the whole gimmick seems to work, as Thad has some harsh words for another theme park creator before the clip ends.

"F-k You Walt Disney you unimaginative piece of s-t!" he screams at the end of the clip. "This is THADLAND!!!!!"

The clip was also posted on the same day that Ritchson appeared ready to share more continued bad news with fans, which may have been a psyche out to make the clip's appearance more of a surprise.

No word has yet been given on the film's release date or official trailer.
