A new TV spot for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug was released featuring Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, and Ian McKellen.

It was also announced that the film will make its premiere in Berlin, Germany on Dec. 9.

In the new clip, Cumberbatch's voice as the dragon Smaug hisses "There is no place to hide." Buried in a sea of precious coins, the dragon awakens and his half open eye is revealed, after which his long slithering tail insidiously snakes through the pillars of the cave wherein the treasure lies.

"Destroy the dragon and take back our homeland," says a determined Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage). "If this is to end in fire then we will burn together," he adds.
