Reign is about to finish up its first season and based on the latest promo, it looks like it will not be a happy ending.
Mary & Francis's Marriage At Stake?
The teaser that was published on Thursday shows Mary's uncle making an appearance who is someone that Francis isn't so sure about. He asks Mary if he can trust him and Mary seems to have confidence that she can.
Francis is also seen having an argument with King Henry where one seems to have too much anticipation on winning the next battle. When the king bellows at Francis that they can't lose, Francis responds with, "Yes we can! Thousands will die!"
This next episode be a reference to an interview Adelaide Kane (Mary) had with "TV Line" where she delivered some scoop on the mysterious uncle, and if he really is someone who can be trusted.
"There's also Mary's French uncle, who arrives with more word on the civil unrest, as well as some very upsetting news about Mary's mother," Kane said. "So Mary and Francis will have to decide whether they can support each other as individuals or sell each other out for their countries."
The actress also dished on King Henry's insanity and how that creates an affect on everyone.
"He's incredibly dangerous, and no one can put the brakes on him because he's the supreme power in France," Kane said.
Reign airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
