CBS revealed the official synopsis for the two-part finale of season 9 of Criminal Minds on April 28 and it suggests that one of the team member's will be threatened.

In the second part of the finale titled Demons, he BAU will be digging deeper into the ongoing murder investigation in Texas. While a lot of shicking revelations related to the case will surface, what might get fans more nervous is the fact that one BAU member's life will "hang in the balance." Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) will get into a dangerous situation as he tries to rescue another member, could she be the one in trouble.

""Demons" - The BAU continues its murder investigation in Texas, and clues uncover a deep web of corruption that could be the motive for the killings. Meanwhile, as one team member's life hangs in the balance, another concerned BAU member must face a sad secret from the past, and Garcia is thrust into action to save a colleague, on the conclusion of the two-part ninth season finale of Criminal Minds."

Esai Morales will be returning on the episode as Bau Section Chief Mateo Cruz. The guest stars include Michael Trucco as Owen McGregor and Vrett Cullen as Preacher Mills.

Here's the previously revealed synopsis for the first part of the finale, Angels:

"When the BAU is called to Texas to consult on the murders of prostitutes, evidence points to killings with religious overtones. But as they delve further into the investigation, the team could put their lives at risk, on part one of the two-part ninth season finale."

The episode will air on Wednesday, May 14 on CBS at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The upcoming episode, Fatal, will release on April 30 on CBS at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
