A new cautionary Insidious 3 still featuring Dermot Mulroney and Lin Shaye was recently revealed, and it teases the premise for the film, stating that "the darkest brings you back to the beginning."

Fans "Will Love The Continuation" Of The Horror Franchise

In the image Shaye, who reprises her role as Elise, is seen talking to Mulroney, who plays the male lead in the film. The two are seen sharing an intense moment in a dimly-lit room. The picture was posted on the Twitter account of the movie on November 13, and the caption reads: "Hold your breath. The darkest chapter brings you back to the beginning. #Insidious"

In another recent delevlopment the release date for Insidious 3 has been pushed back into the summer by a week's time, and will hit theaters on June 5 instead of May 29 now.

Insidious 3 To Be "Special," Like A "Specter Of The Further"?

The official trailer for Insidious: Chapter 3 released on October 22 and is tagged as "the darkest chapter" which goes back to "the beginning."

Mulroney is seen playing Sue's (Stefanie Scott) father, and the clip starts with her being wheeled in by her dad as she has a fracture. They settle into their new apartment appreciating the neighbors but all's not well, in this seemingly normal space. As Sue resigns for the night in her bedroom the eerie business begins as somebody knocks from the other side of the wall, which is followed by something freaking her out in the room.

The trailer lets know that this one precedes the first two chapters and will take fans to the origins of "the further."

Lin Shaye who plays Elise and Specs and Tucker are also seen in the clip.

The first two films in the Insidious franchise were helmed by the writer-director team of Leigh Whannell and James Wan. But for Insidious 3 Whannell will be taking complete control, he will be writing and directing the film.

Insidious: Chapter 2 was released on Sept. 13 and topped the U.S. box office scoring $41.1 million over in its opening weekend. The film stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, and Barbara Hershey reprised their roles from  the first film in the series.
