Known predominantly for being the younger sister of Princess Kate, Pippa Middleton is definitely a solid business woman in her own right.

Pippa's parents, who are self-made millionaires, seem to have passed down some of that business savvy to their younger daughter.

On Thursday the Daily Mail revealed that 31-year-old Pippa has made almost a quarter of a million pounds over the last year, making her one of the most printable members of the family.

This means Pippa brought in more of her own money than both Kate and their brother, James, who has had a number of his own failed businesses over the course of his underwhelming career. He has yet to draw in a significant profit from any of his endeavors. He's even had to close down two of them over the last few years.

Most of Pippa's money came in from PXM Enterprises Limited, where she is both director and shareholder. She also wrote a party planning book entitled Celebrate and is a regular columnist for the magazine Waitrose Kitchen.

She also has some earnings from her position as web editor for her parents company, Party Pieces, and from writing a number of guest columns for various publications.

Pippa may not have married a prince, but with a career in writing and good sense for business, she is definitely going places.
