The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast has yet to begin filming on season seven.

Will Teresa Aprea & Nicole Napolitano Be Seen On Joe Giudice's Upcoming Series?

While production is typically concluding on the series around this time of year, production on the upcoming show has been pushed back, reportedly because the official cast has not yet been chosen.

“Although fans are itching for a new season, production still is not ready to begin yet,” a Bravo insider told Real Mr. Housewife on Monday.

Teresa Giudice Was Reportedly Paid $1 Million To Bring The Drama To 'RHONJ' Season Seven

According to the report, producers are on the hunt for new housewives, possibly to fill the empty seats by those not asked back. While Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga are expected to return to the show, the rest of the cast's future with the network remains unclear.

“Production is still looking for new cast members,” the source explained. “They want to see if they can still find anyone else who would be a good addition to the cast, but they are having difficulty finding anyone at this point in time.”

As fans have surely heard, Giudice is currently behind bars at the Federal Correctional Facility in Danbury, Conn., where she is serving a 15-month term for charges of bank and wire fraud. She will be released from custody on Dec. 23, at which point her husband, Joe, who was charged in the same case, will begin a 41-month sentence.
