Noah & Alison's Relationship On 'The Affair' Is 'Just Beginning?'

There are a lot more wild storylines that fans can expect in the second season of the Showtime drama. In a previous interview with Deadline, Ruth Wilson (Alison) revealed that she's not too confident her character will stay happy with Noah for much longer.

"I don't know. The way the series is panning out, probably not," she said. "I mean, this has got to create drama for an audience so, no, they're not going to be happy, but you hope they would. I think they have their own issues, despite what happens at the end. The second season is about the consequences, where the first was about the sin, [executive producer] Sarah [Treem] says. The third season is the redemption."

Wilson also mentioned that the second season will involve Helen and Cole's side of the story. So audiences will definitely want to stay tuned.

The Affair Season 2 premieres on Sunday, October 4 on Showtime.
