Bones has lined up an interesting guest star set to be an important part of season 11.

'Bones' Season 11: Brennan & Booth Return After a 'Murder Unlike Any Other'

Actress Kim Raver will guest star in season 11's first two episodes, according to a new report by TVGuide.com. Raver will play Grace Miller, an FBI special agent who is investigating the disappearance of Booth (David Boreanaz).

Bones fans had previously been in the dark about this plot line involving Booth's disappearance. This may have something to do with Booth and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) going back to solving cases again, after the pair quit their jobs in the season 10 finale.

Is Booth's Son Parker Returning to 'Bones' Next Season?

Raver has appeared on a slew of TV series over the years, though she is mostly known for playing Audrey Raines on Fox's 24 and Dr. Teddy Altman on ABC's Grey's Anatomy.

The upcoming season of Bones will also feature a sure-to-be-fascinating crossover with another prominent Fox show. As previously announced, the crime procedural is about to do a crossover with Sleepy Hollow. While the procedural and the fantasy series seem like an odd pairing, the show's writers will likely come up with something dark and fantastical to blend the series.

The Bones / Sleepy Hollow crossover is set to air on Thursday, Oct. 29, just in time for Halloween. Details regarding the crossover are being kept under wraps for now.

Bones season 11 is set to premiere Thursday, Oct.b 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
