The world is remembering a horrific day in Japanese and American histories with the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.

August 6 marks the 70th year since the day the United States dropped a bomb on the Japanese city, killing 140,000 civilians in the process and bringing the official end of World War II. On this day, the once again thriving city becomes one full of mourning as those still there remember the extreme dangers that the weapon-nicknamed Little Boy-once wrought.
