Jax Taylor claims last month's arrest was an "honest mistake."

'Vanderpump Rules' Cast Travels To Hawaii -- Without Kristen Doute?

While in Hawaii with his Vanderpump Rules co-stars, Taylor was arrested for taking a pair of Polaris glasses from a sunglass store in Honolulu, but according to a new interview, the reality star didn't mean to steal the shades.

"There was alcohol involved," Taylor explained to the UK's Daily Mail last week. "I think I can afford a pair of glasses! Clearly my credit card was in my hand."

Although Taylor insists he didn't intentionally steal the sunglasses, his co-stars, including Tom Sandoval and Scheana Marie Shay, haven't taking the incident lightly. During an interview with Perez Hilton at an event last month, Taylor's former roommate, Sandoval, claimed he was "pissed" about Taylor's bad decision.

“I was really pissed, disappointed and embarrassed," Sandoval explained. "Obviously, we’re grouped together. We’re the Vanderpump Rules cast. When we go places, people will group us together and now think ‘those guys steal things.’ So that p*ssed me off. At this point, we’re in our fourth season, he should’ve really just known better. You can’t do stupid things like that. People are watching.”

Meanwhile, Shay added, “I laughed, because it was so stupid. Everyone was like, ‘you’re such an idiot!’ If it was anything else he got in trouble for, we would’ve all been pretty sympathetic, but because it was straight stupidity, we’re like, ‘C’mon man! What were you thinking?'”
