Christie Brinkley guest starred in this week's holiday-themed "Parks and Recreation" episode as Jerry Gergich's surprisingly beautiful and up until this point unknown wife Gayle.

Jerry (Jim O'Heir) hosts a holiday party at his home and some of his friends were shocked when they found out they were not invited. Those who did attend, were relatively speechless at first to see that the parks department employee was married to Brinkley's character, though she does not play a model in the episode. Viewers already met Jerry's daughter Millicent in a previous episode. When the episode ended on Thursday, Brinkley tweeted "Hope you all had fun at the Gergitch Christmas Party!!!"

Thursday's episode, the ninth one for season five, was titled "Rob & Diane." In the respective episode, Ron (Nick Offerman), Diane (guest star Lucy Lawless), and Leslie (Amy Poehler) attended a wood working awards dinner after one of Ron's handcrafted chairs is nominated. However, the enjoyable event was threatened by the arrival of Tammy II (guest star Megan Mullally), who was jealous of Ron's new girlfriend.

Brinkley said in an NBC interview that she enjoyed working on the show especially considering the Christmas theme the episode had.

"With the Christmas theme it's not really a stretch for me because I'm definitely a Christmas person," she said. "I always do a Christmas party myself too and deck the halls and really get into the spirits. In my house I go for the biggest tree...and it is such an ordeal. One year I ended up underneath the tree."

Set in a town in Indiana, the show follows local public officials and their humorous antics. Poehler was nominated at this year's Golden Globes for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical.
