Back in June it was announced that Gwen Stefani would be returning for The Voice season 9 alongside Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams.

Why Did 'Voice' Season 8 Winner Have A 'Fantastic Day In The Studio'?

Since the show's inception with a slightly different coach lineup, there has always been a great amount of banter. That's not changing.

In the preview clip below, the four coaches get plenty of laughs at the expense of each other as they hunt for fresh talent to join their respective teams.

The coaches even reflect on the series and what it's all about.

"Everybody hears music in different ways, but yet everybody feels music in the same way," Stefani commented.

Williams got insightful and deemed The Voice is "all about lifting," meaning spreading self-confidence. The hit maker revealed that when people at home watching see the talent competing lift themselves, they realize they can do the same for themselves.

As mentioned, the banter is still very much a part of the series. Clips flash through of the Blinds with Levine mimicking Shelton when he tells a contestant, "I wish I could buy your version of that song."

Despite the rivalry amongst the coaches vying to have the next Voice champion on their respective teams, they all respect each other tremendously. Stefani and Williams spoke so highly of each other with Williams revealing Stefani's a "really inspirational force" and Stefani dished that Williams "made such an impact" in her life.

More clips whizzed by in which some audience members have Shelton's face on sticks and that took him by surprise when he asked who a contestant should pick as his coach.

The preview aside, other news has recently been revealed about this season, including Rihanna being named as the Key Advisor.

Stefani, Levine and Shelton's Battle Round advisors have also been revealed. Selena Gomez will help out Stefani while John Fogerty will be with Levine's team and Brad Paisley will be on Team Blake as reported by People.

The Voice season 9 premieres on Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
