Back in May The Voice crowned its champion for the eighth season and since then that champion has been hard at work crafting his debut major label record.

Where Is Sawyer Fredericks Heading To Work On His Major Label Debut Album?

Teen Sawyer Fredericks has spent his summer going back and forth between his home in Upstate New York to California where he has been writing and recording with an array of songwriters, musicians and producers.

Fredericks actually just flew back to California earlier this week and Tuesday happened to be a very productive day in the recording studio.

How Does Sawyer Fredericks Think He's Done With Adjusting To His Newfound Celebrity Status?

On Instagram, Fredericks shared a group shot of himself and some of the people he has been working with out in California.

"Fantastic day in the studio," the teen beamed, adding, "[S]o awesome to be working with these amazing artists, hearing my co-writes and originals come to life with a live band." This makes us think some live shows might be happening in the near future if Frecericks' co-written and original songs are being worked on in this sense. The teen also shared a photo of himself with headphones on, his acoustic guitar in hand and what looks like part of a console near him along with a mic.

He was obviously recording yesterday too besides working on how to bring these songs to stage.

The Voice will return to NBC in the fall for its ninth season.
