The inimitable comedic dynamic of David Cross and Bob Odenkirk is sparking up again for Netflix.

Fans who yearn for the comic duo's cult favorite comedy sketch show, Mr. Show with Bob and David (1995 - 1998, HBO), will be getting the funnies in a new avatar with With Bob & David, which will premiere on Netflix this fall.

Vanity Fair came out with an exhaustive piece about the genius of Cross and Odenkirk on Mr. Show and how they hope to revive that with the new Netflix series. Odenkirk, who is currently in the limelight for his show Better Call Saul, dished about what his approach was going forward.

"I've spent a lot of time thinking about what With Bob & David means," Odenkirk said, "what kind of comedy it should suggest, and I haven't come up with much outside of silly stuff with a point of view somewhat connected to real shit."

Cross also weighed in on the smooth symbiosis of him and Odenkirk. "I knew early that it was very special-he did, too. You know, we're similar. We definitely share some similar traits. I think we both have our ideas of what works and what doesn't."

He also added that over the years they had both fed off of each others comedic personas and strengthened this fine coupledom:

"I go into other projects-and I imagine I'll continue to do this in my professional career until it's over-with almost like a Bob angel on my shoulder whispering into my ear, you know, his point of view, and I'm lucky to have that."

The duo, and what they were doing with comedy back in the day, has inspired the likes of Judd Apatow. The writer/director told Vanity Fair that the show was quite avant garde for its time.

"I used to go to the Mr. Show tapings and it was clear that this was our Monty Python," says Judd Apatow. "It felt like the most fertile comedic space I had ever seen. Every show would blow your mind."
