Is 'Big Brother 17' Shaping Up To Be Better Than Season 15 & 16?

Vanessa really put in the work on Sunday, as seen on the live feeds. She had individual conversations with just about everyone in the house as she tried to decide what to do about the Veto.

She started things off with John, and he helped clear the tension between them, telling her he has no one in the game and could be a crucial ally. Vanessa left the conversation tempted to use her Veto on him.

Vanessa then went to Austin and Liz, telling them that John would work with them to put up James and Meg next week. She insisted that Meg was some sort of mastermind, which Austin later suggested was ridiculous.

Vanessa spoke with Steve next and he told her what he wanted to hear while also fanning the flames of Meg being against her. She would become even more certain that one of Meg or James had to go up.

Austin spoke with Liz and Julia and said he wouldn't nominate James unless he had a specific reason, and the twins agreed. But they also agreed that James is a formidable threat to win competitions.

Vanessa then went to James, who assured her that only Jackie wanted to evict her back when she was nominated against Shelli. James said he would consult with Vanessa and her alliance about who to target if he were to win HOH.

Finally, Vanessa spoke with Meg in the hope of catching her in some sort of lie. Meg confirmed that Vanessa was never her target and that things were good between them.

Despite Vanessa's crazy scheming, Austin has asserted that he wants to keep the nominations the same.

Then, later at night Steve spoke with James and Meg about Austin and the twins being "a strong fortress," suggesting that they might steamroll through the game. James and Meg then went to Austin and the twins with this information, and they were predictably furious.

The trio agreed that Steve was now "done". But who knows how long that train of thought will last.

In other news, Austin officially asked Liz to be his girlfriend, to which agreed. While the pair are dating for now, we'll see what happens outside the Big Brother house.

Big Brother 17 airs another new episode Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
