The first celebrity competing in the upcoming fall season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars has been announced!

'DWTS' Judge Len Goodman Is Leaving The Show

Bindi Irwin is the first celebrity announced to be competing in season 21 of Dancing With the Stars. The news broke with ABC's Good Morning America on Monday. Irwin, the daughter of late Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin, is an animal lover herself and expressed her excitement for participating in DWTS in a new statement.

"I am unbelievably thrilled and truly blessed to be in the City of Angels to be part of this season of Dancing With The Stars," the 17-year-old said. "This will be a completely new adventure for me and I'm excited to share my journey. Life is about daring to dream, I'm in love with this city and ready to fall in love with the music and dance to come."

Other celebrity cast members will be announced throughout the week on Good Morning America.

The pros competing in the new season were also announced recently. Returning pros include Mark Ballas, Sharna Burgess, Witney Carson, Artem Chigvintsev, Val Chmerkovskiy, Allison Holker, Derek Hough, Peta Murgatroyd and Karina Smirnoff.

While there were only nine pros announced, more are expected to be revealed in the weeks to come. The reality series usually features 12 or 13 couples in any given season.

Dancing With the Stars season 21 premieres Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
