A big confrontation before the Veto ceremony led to a very tense day in the Big Brother 17 house.

Is Austin Too Afraid To Nominate Vanessa For Eviction on 'Big Brother'?

Monday was an awkward time to be in the Big Brother house. Vanessa had the Power of Veto and in a last minute chance to save himself, John spilled some juicy information to her. He revealed that he, Steve, Austin, Liz and Julia formed a plan to get her out, and that Steve formed the plan.

Vanessa was shocked by this information, and while she had previously cleared the air with Austin, Liz and Julia, she was very angry with Steve.

Vanessa confronted Steve outright Monday morning, asking him if he created the plan to get her out of the house. Steve denied it and almost became out of breath, and Vanessa said she knew he was lying and that she will vote to evict him on Thursday.

Vanessa did not use the Power of Veto, so the nominations stayed the same: John and Steve. After the ceremony and throughout the day, things were very tense between Vanessa and Steve, even when he tried to approach her nicely.

Meanwhile, Liz and Julia were angry with John for revealing the plan and repeatedly bashed him on a personal level. John was not in the room, but it was still a particularly vicious gossip session.

Steve and Vanessa finally had a conversation late at night, but things were still awkward. Steve repeatedly apologized while Vanessa said he played dirty and assumed everything he was saying was a lie.

Ultimately, Austin, Liz and Julia came to Vanessa and said they wanted to vote out John. Vanessa was not exactly thrilled but expressed the need to move on from this Steve incident.

Meanwhile, Meg and James are mostly coasting but they have expressed wanting to vote Steve out over John. But there votes won't matter if Liz, Julia and Vanessa all vote for John. From where it stands now, John will be evicted from the Big Brother house, but who knows how much things might change until Thursday.

Big Brother 17 airs another new episode Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
