Rebekah's life might be threatened when she shows up again on The Originals.

What's Next For Marcel & Rebekah On 'The Originals?'

On Monday, Entertainment Weekly shared an interview with showrunner Julie Plec who said that Claire Holt (Rebekah) will indeed be back for more episodes. There will be information released about her past as well as the risk she's currently in as the Trinity enters.

"We'll actually be seeing quite a lot of Claire in the beginning of the season in flashbacks," Plec said. "We'll see which of the three she sired and how that all went down and then we will come find [Rebekah] in present day, where she realizes she's in as much danger from the other sire lines as her brothers are."

'The Originals' Will Have 'Blood, Tears & Betrayal'

There's a good chance that the Trinity will come in between the siblings, which may not be too much a problem since Klaus and Elijah are already at odds with each other.

"With Elijah and Klaus already being a bit frayed in their relationship, there is room for these new people to try to get in between them," Plec said. "And Elijah's point is, 'Maybe they should get between us because every time I've stood by you it has failed spectacularly.'"

Marcel may have a part in this since he doesn't exactly have the greatest connection with one of the brothers.

"Because Marcel is this very dynamic leader of the vampire culture in New Orleans, he captures the eye of the Trinity who look at him as perhaps a potential ally," the showrunner said. "So that brings him into the fold pretty quickly."

The Originals Season 3 premieres on Thursday, October 8 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
