On Monday, Wetpaint posted a synopsis for the premiere episode after the wild showdown with Dahlia in the last season. Months have gone by where it might seem like the creatures can pick things up again. But the drama will continue as Klaus and Elijah's complicated relationship stays that way.

Freya will be on a search to heal the two brothers so they can all be a family again, but it's probably not going to be that easy especially when there's chaos all around them.

Klaus Is 'The Thing That Men Fear' On 'The Originals'

A vampire named Lucien is coming to New Orleans where he'll have a connection with Klaus; this may not be a positive connection though as Lucien knows something about the Mikaelson's remaining sire lines.

Hayley is still dealing with the wolf curse while Vincent and Cami suspect that a serial killer may be their latest big bad. Marcel is going to try to recruit vampires as Davina comes to some sort of epic conclusion that could change everything.

In a post from Showbiz Junkies, Yusuf Gatewood dished on the new bad guys coming to the series who will make this season different.

"This is almost like a new series that we're being presented with," Gatewood said. "I think that was the intention of [producers] Julie [Plec] and Michael [Narducci] when they set about setting up this season. We've got new characters coming in. We're going to see some of the first vampires that the Originals sired. There's going to be some conflict with that."

The Originals Season 3 premieres on Thursday, October 8 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
