The Galaxy S4 is expected to be released in 2013 and a new video shows what the phone might look like and what features and specs are to be expected for the new gadget.

The video, courtesy of Rozetked, reportedly shows the new smartphone being thinner, having a larger display and a new laser keyboard dock, among its other features. The video coincided with previous rumors about Samsung's Galaxy S4.

Samsung and Apple have been long known to be the top competitors in the smartphone market. Apple's iPhone 5 has had impressive sales since being released earlier this year but the tech giant will, by many accounts, face stiff competition soon of Samsung unveils its Galaxy S4 early in 2013.

Samsung released the Galaxy S3 toward the end of May but rumors have circulated for a while now that the newest version of the Galaxy could roll out as early as February at Mobile World Congress, which is considered the mobile industry's biggest exhibition, conference and networking event.

In terms of its specs, the S4's resolution is said to be 1920 x 1080p (441 ppi pixel density) and the phone is rumored to be equipped with a 13MP sensor, 2GB RAM and a 2GHz quad-core processor. Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity, 2100mAh battery and 4G LTE will be included. The phone is rumored to be less than 7.6mm thick (thinner than both the Galaxy S3 and the iPhone 5).

Also, the new Galaxy will reportedly be powered by the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS from Google, which will give it maximum capabilities to effectively combat other smartphones currently out in the market.

Aside from a resigned 5-inch screen, the 4S will have a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera.

As far as pricing for the new phone, nothing has been confirmed by Samsung but Gotta Be Mobile made a prediction based on pricing for the Galaxy S3:

"It would be surprising to see Samsung drift from its usual pricing model which has the Galaxy S series starting at $199.99 on-contract. The Galaxy S3 starts at $199.99 everywhere but T-Mobile, which charges a premium, and we imagine that Samsung will use this pricing with the Galaxy S4 as well."
