'The Flash' Season 2: Can Cisco Learn To Control His Powers? EP Teases Frightening Evolution

The scourge of Earth-2 wants to be the only speedster around, and while he came close to killing Jay Garrick's Crimson Comet, Zoom can't seem do the same for Barry Allen. Instead, season 2's big bad is sending alternate universe metas to do his dirty work.

"Right now, Zoom is the only one that's able to bring people through [the breaches]," executive producer Todd Helbing informed Variety. While Jay is already in town, there is little to no chance that another hero will jump through. "[Zoom's] not going to bring somebody that helps the team. He's just going to help somebody that does want things specifically for him."

But why does Zoom need help? What is stopping him from fighting Barry's Flash the same way he hounded Jay's?

"There is a reason, but you'll learn that down the line," Helbing teased. "He's going to come in and if he doesn't get these guys to do what he wants, he's going eventually show up and try to take him down himself."
