It is unknown how far into the manga Attack on Titan will take season 2, but there is one plot point that will defiantly make its way into the anime.

The mystery of the Reiss family will come to the fore in season 2. The freshman run of Attack on Titan's anime adaptation took the story through chapter 34 of the source material. This new spoiler from Crossmap indicates that season 2 will advance Eren's dangerous adventures though at least Volume 15.

Comprised of chapters 59 through 62 ("A Monster's Soul," "Flash Point," "Finale," and "Sin,"), this volume exposes the true identity of at least one member of the Reiss clan. The rightful kings and true masters of the ability to control the Titans (knows as The Coordinate), the Reiss' play a major part in the story, but based on the length of season 1, it appears the sophomore run will only be able to touch on their tale before it comes to a close.
