Based on the link Bomer posted, HERO "protects Houston residents and visitors from discrimination in housing, employment and business services on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion and 11 other characteristics."

Bomer has been married to his husband, Simon Halls, for approximately four years now. They have three children together, Kit, Walker and Henry.

The actor previously spoke to People about his kids' upbringing saying that he doesn't want them to be in the spotlight at this point.

"I don't want anybody out on stage anytime soon," he said. "I want them to have a nice, normal childhood."

Bomer pointed out how the entertainment industry is tough and it's better for the kids to live freely in their childhoods rather than get started on a career.

"When I was eight-years-old, I asked my parents to get my head shots, and they were like, 'What are you talking about?! Go outside and play!' I'm so glad they did," the actor said. "I had a normal childhood where I was able to cultivate my own creativity, and I don't think I would have been ready for this crazy business at eight-years-old."
