One of Nickelodeon's most iconic stars opened up on one of the biggest difficulties he's ever had to face.

Kenan & Kel Reunite On 'Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon'

On Wednesday, Hollywood Life posted details from People when All That star Kel Mitchell revealed a time when things were so hard he considered taking his own life. Known for his role as Ed in the 'Good Burger' skits as well as Repair Man...man man man...the actor's life fell apart when he got divorced in 2004.

"After my divorce, I just felt like life was not working out," he said, adding that he felt "suicidal" and even turned to drugs for comfort.

Chatter On Kenan & Kel Reunion

The site pointed out how not only did he have a failed marriage, but his career wasn't working out with his childhood TV show days behind him.

"As a young actor, there are ups and down," Mitchell said. "And when you get to that down part, there are times you feel like no one can relate to you."

He added that he "understood" the infamous moment in pop culture history when Britney Spears shaved her head during her bizarre 2007.

Mitchell managed to get his life back in order, partially from turning to religion and returning to Nickelodeon. And if he's never the big icon he was before, he's still happy with who he is.

"I went through a rough time, but now I actually have peace," he said. "I enjoy living this life. I don't let things frustrate or worry me anymore. I don't do that because I have peace in my heart."
