Evan Peters is not a huge fan of going nude on the set of FX's American Horror Story.

Why Evan Peters' Concept For 'American Horror Story' Keeps Getting Shot Down

Peters, who is currently starring in his fifth consecutive season of American Horror Story, has bared all in almost every season so far but that doesn't mean he's entirely comfortable with it.

The actor, now playing sadistic hotel developer James March in AHS: Hotel, spoke with Details recently and revealed why doing nude scenes are uncomfortable for him.

Lady Gaga's 'American Horror Story' Makeup Secrets Revealed

"It is never comfortable to be completely naked in front of 30 people. You know, with a 'cocksock.' And taping it to your leg. And there is blood everywhere. It is just weird," he admitted. "There's nothing that is normal about it. But you sort of have to be like: 'Okay. I am here. I am acting. I just have to get past this and act the scene-and not think about all the people around seeing me naked.' Never mind the fact that it will be aired later on TV and millions of people will see it. I try to focus on the character and the scene and getting it done. Because it never gets easier."

But his discomfort hasn't gotten to the point of refusing to do a nude scene - or any scene for that matter. He admitted that there hasn't been a "dealbreaker" scene through his AHS experience.

"As long as there is a point to it, as long as it is getting something across about the character or the story," he said, of filming bold scenes. "But if it is just gratuitous and unnecessary, then you have a right to say: 'Do I really need to mortify myself in front of all you guys?' If it serves a purpose, then you are obligated to do it no matter what."

Peters' role as James March has been pretty intense so far, and it's easily his most villainous character since Tate Langdon in season 1. We have seen him push people down laundry chutes, slash people up during sex and much more. How far will they go with the character? Only time will tell.

American Horror Story: Hotel airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
