On Wednsday, following weeks of dating rumors, Stefani's rep confirmed the couple's new relationship, and just hours later, The Voice coaches were spotted holding hands in Nashville after the Country Music Awards, which were attended by Shelton and his ex-wife, Miranda Lambert.

On Wednesday evening, prior to the show, Stefani's rep released a statement to Us Weekly, which read, “Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating."

The following morning, Carson Daly, host of The Voice, commented on their romance news.

“I didn’t know. I didn’t think Blake could get a girl hot as Gwen, to be honest," Daly told the hosts of the TODAY show. "He’s a goofy cowboy, she’s the queen of cool. But God bless them, they’re two of the nicest people in the business. We’re thrilled that they’re finding each other. Good luck, we love you!”

“I am not shocked after Halloween and the photos that came out,” he continued, referencing a series of photos, which featured Shelton with his arm around Stefani. “I was a little shocked last night to hear Gwen’s people put out an official thing because apparently she went to Nashville."
