We all have that restless void in our hearts that loves to hate, and nothing fills that void more beautifully than the unlikely marriage of fascination and horror. The YouTube web series called The Bedford Stop offers exactly that, as a self proclaimed "reality show about Brooklyn girls avoiding reality," and the Internet can't stop talking about it.

According to its YouTube posts, the show premiered about a year ago and the world is only just now catching wind of their pinot grigio, brunch and vocal fry filled existences living in the increasingly trendy, Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

What's important to keep in mind, especially while attempting to follow the series vapid narrative, is that the three "stars" of the show, Olena, Sarah and Alex, are probably a part of the minority rather than the majority of 20-something's living in Williambsurg because unfortunately, no one wants to watch the overworked, underpaid majority, sip green tea and fold laundry while listening to NPR in their free time.

As it accumulates a staggering amount of press from huge publications like The New York Times, Jezebel, The Guardian and many more, with writers, readers and bloggers begging MTV and HBO to pick up the series, The Bedford Stop may or may not become pop culture's next Jersey Shore.

Until then, the Internet will continue to speculate about whether the series is born out of pure satirical genius or some kind of culturally terroristic prank, as the rest of us sink into our couches, gleefully shoving popcorn into our faces and not giving a damn either way.
