We will learn a whole lot more about LokSat in the winter finale of ABC's Castle.

Did 'Castle' Just Jump The Shark?

Beckett (Stana Katic) is investigating LokSat while remaining separated from Castle (Nathan Fillion) and we will finally delve deep into the case in the winter finale. Castle co-showrunner Alexi Hawley confirmed to TVLine in a new report that we will learn much more about LokSat in the Nov. 23 episode, titled Mr. and Mrs. Castle.

"Ultimately what she's trying to do is find a way to get to LokSat through the drugs," Hawley explained, with Beckett having the fingerprint of Vulcan Simmons (Jonathan Adams), who dealt drugs for Bracken (Jack Coleman).

Are Rick's Fears About His And Kate's Separation Less Intense Now On 'Castle'?

"That drug pipeline is still open, so if she can match the unique fingerprint of that heroin to a different dealer or a different distribution hub, then she knows she's close to LokSat," Hawley continued.

ABC has also released a plot synopsis for the episode:

"Castle and Beckett investigate the murder of a cruise ship entertainer, only to find themselves trapped at sea with the killer."

It is unknown at this time if the cruise ship murder has anything to do with LokSat, though it should be an exciting winter finale regardless, to see Castle and Beckett have no escape as they are "trapped at sea."

The episode is also said to have similar themes to the 2005 movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith, starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
