Is there a chance that Mary and Edith might actually have a solid relationship on Downton Abbey?
According to Friday's report from Carter Matt, that seems to be a possibility. But considering that (spoiler) Mary told Bertie the truth about Edith's daughter, this is bound to cause more chaos in the future. But Mary will apparently do what she can to work things out with Edith. And even though Edith doesn't have much left, her secret "continues to pose a threat."
Henry is also going to have trouble finding his place at Downton while Carson faces his own challenges that show how much he can handle change.
Fans can definitely expect some big changes coming up. Elizabeth McGovern, who plays Cora on the series, previously told Express how her character's going to deal with new events coming aboard. As it turns out, she might become stronger when the big choices come.
"Everything is changing and Cora is, in her own way, taking a little bit more control," McGovern said. "She's trying to be involved in the making of decisions that apply to the running of the house and the estate, more than she has in the past. Within the context of being a wife and a mother, Cora is flexing her muscles more."
Downton Abbey Season 6 is expected to premiere in the United States on Sunday, January 3 on PBS
