On Tuesday, VH1 shared a brief interview with That's So Raven alumni Jonathan McDaniel who opened up on Symone's controversial statements on talk show The View. As it turns out, McDaniel is pretty close to his former co-star and tries to leave the drama alone.

"I don't get wrapped up in the craziness that's going on," he said at VH1 Big In 15 With Entertainment Weekly. "I know Raven personally, she's a great friend of mine, always has been, always has been amazing to me. I just like to keep it at that. I don't mind all the drama that goes on."

One of the topics that Symone has been frank about include the incident in South Carolina when an officer dragged a student across the floor when she didn't put her phone away. While the co-host admitted the officer was at fault, she added that the student shouldn't have been on her phone and she should've "followed the rules."

Symone previously spoke with Out on her statements where she said that she will keep speaking her mind despite what others feel like she should do.

"This country has continuously ostracized groups of people that have a truth different from the status quo," she said. "I will continue to tell my truth."
