They were finally reunited after years apart, but unfortunately the time to actually say goodbye has come for Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Bo (Peter Reckell) on Days of Our Lives.

Abigail Goes Into Premature Labor

Bo finally escaped his captors and got back to Salem in time to stop Aiden from murdering Hope on their wedding night, and the couple has since reunited. Unfortunately their reunion has been bittersweet, because Bo learned not long after he came back that he has an inoperable brain tumor-and only has days to live.

Now, after much time trying to tell Hope but not succeeding, he will take her to the park to finally tell her the truth-that he could be gone for good at any moment. Hope will be devastated when she learns the man she loves really does have to leave her this time-and that there is nothing they can do to keep him alive and with her and their family longer.

Steve & Kayla Find Themselves In A Mysterious Situation

It could be in these heartbreaking final moments together that Bo will finally feel at peace, and while in the arms of the woman he loves more than anything, he will take his final breath and say goodbye.

However, what Hope doesn't know is that Bo did make sure she would be taken care of by someone else who did genuinely love her after he was gone, by talking to Rafe (Galen Gerig) after seeing how much the other detective cared for Hope. And though Hope will struggle with the grief of losing the love of her life, a new future could eventually be laid out in front of her that will help her get through the pain.
