It looks like Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald won't be calling their new bundle of joy by his first name after all. While the reality television couple has gotten a lot of heat for calling their newborn son Spurgeon Elliot Seewald, it looks like they'll be using a shorter and easier moniker for the tot.

According to Ben's Instagram account this past week, there's a good chance that they'll leave the name Spurgeon for the child's birth certificate and passport papers and instead will call him Baby Quincy at home.

The proud father shared a new picture of his son for his followers and captioned it with, "We thought the hat was adorable, but little man was less than impressed... @jessaseewald #BabyQuincy #SpurgeonElliotSeewald."

Although it seems as though some of Jessa and Ben's fans seem to be confused as they commented on the pic with, "Is his name Quincy or Spurgeon?!?!?!?!," along with, "Why didn't they just leave his name as Quincy then if they were already calling him that? The nickname also has nothing to do with the actual name, so it seems a little pointless and weird if you ask me. Not trying to criticize, but I really do wonder what goes through people's minds sometimes."

Another critic wrote, "Yeah, it would be great if you didn't teach him to hate Catholics like his namesake..."

So far, neither Jessa nor Ben have made any comments about the criticism.
