His apparent death during the season five finale of Game of Thrones has been a controversial topic, and after trying to quell speculation for months, the show has finally addressed what really happened to Jon Snow (Kit Harrington).

Will There Be A Stark Family Reunion In Winterfell?

In a new promo photo announcing the show will premiere its sixth season this April on HBO, Snow is the sole character, shown in close-up still wearing the fur coat that kept him warm during those chilly days as Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. However, unlike the final scene of the series, which showed him lying in the snow in a pool of blood after his fellow brothers repeatedly stabbed him in the abdomen for bringing Wildlings beyond the Wall, this photo seems to tell a very different story.

In the image, Jon's head tilts down to his right, with blood on his face, splattered on his nose and mouth after what appears to be an injury to his left eye, obscured by his hair. Even if the image isn't necessarily a hint that the character is indeed alive, the decision to use a character that was promoted as dead as a focal point on the poster has led to speculation that a reveal is coming - he is still alive.

Is Dany In Extreme Danger With The Dothraki?

HBO has tried for months to make it seem as though Jon was killed during the finale, with theories and speculation about his fate squashed by both producers and members of the cast insisting that the character was indeed dead. However, thanks to spoiler sites from places like Watchers on the Wall, the claims all seem false in what appears to be mounting evidence that the character will still live on.
