Chelsea Houska is newly engaged, and already, she's been targeted with rumors.

Just days after the Teen Mom 2 star announced her engagement to Cole DeBoer, an online rumor surfaced, claiming DeBoer didn't actually pay for the ring himself. Instead, a fan claimed, it was MTV who footed the bill.

"MTV is known for purchasing rings. I'm sure they filmed the engagement too," the fan added.

However, according to Houska's father, Randy, it was DeBoer who bought the rock.

After announcing her engagement on Instagram, Houska shared a close-up of her ring, along with the caption, "I honestly cannot believe how lucky I am. Finally found my Prince Charming and I get to be with him for the rest of my life!"

Houska and DeBoer began dating last summer after meeing at a gas station near Houska's South Dakota home, and in the year since, they have shared a number of special moments with fans on Teen Mom 2, including the purchase of their family big, and DeBoer's move into Houska's home.

Teen Mom 2 season seven is currently in production.
