There have been frequent rumors spinning out of control on the Internet over these two being romantically linked to one another since before news broke that they wrote and recorded a song together.

The pair has been promoting their duet, "I Know What You Did Last Summer," since it can be found on Mendes' recently released Handwritten Revisited.

The 18-year-old girl group member and the 17-year-old Canadian just made an appearance on James Corden's The Late Late Show to perform the song and have a bit of a chat on the late show's couch.

While there the two got a bit flustered upon Corden asking questions about their romantic lives with each other.

Check out the video below, in which Corden reads fans' questions that lead to more invasive questions from Corden about their relationship.

Corden asked on behalf of a fan, "Are you two dating?" which led to screams from the audience.

"Well," Cabello said before adding in a delayed "No," which Mendes repeated.

Corden revealed he didn't believe them and the chat spun from there.

"No, we're really not," Cabello insisted just as Corden asked if they've made out with each other.

"We haven't actually," Mendes stated while glancing at Cabello and she agreed, which spurred more questioning from Corden.

Mendes claimed that any advances he makes "she just swears me off."

Cabello made her own claim though by admitting to being in the friendzone.

"He friendzones me! He calls me 'kid'!" she declared.

Corden loved the back and forth he caused between them, but Mendes seemed slightly stressed as he groaned, "Oh no!"

Cabello then dished they were "just kidding" around, but Corden called them "defensive" over the topic.

Corden continued to disregard their statements about never making out with each other and Mendes eventually declared, "Well, I don't care."
