5 Killed in Chicago: Two More Homicides Total 7 Fatalities in One Day
Five people were killed in Chicago during the first hours of Saturday but police has reported two more deaths at the end of the day totaling seven and making it one of the most deadly days in recent memory, according to NBC Chicago.com.
The first five victims were
Ronnie Chambers, 34, who was shot in the head while he was waiting at a car with another man that was shot and injured. Chambers died at the scene, according to police and the medical examiner's office, NBC Chicago reported.
Two men were killed outside Kevin's Hamburger Heaven and a third was wounded when they were smoking outside the eatery and a masked gunman approached them and opened fire at close range.
The gunman reportedly ran away.
In another shooting, a man in his 30s and a teenager were found dead in the street with bullet wounds to the head, reported NBC Chicago. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office said Dimitri Buford, 32, and Antonio Fenner, 16, were death on the scene.
The sixth and seventh homicide occurred later on Saturday. A man identified as Willie Wilson was stabbed to death during a domestic dispute and was killed from a wound to the chest, according to NBC Chicago.
Norman Stokes, 38 was shot to death during an argument inside a home.
