One of the world’s Olympic medalist alpine skiier, Lindsay Vonn sat down with CNN in a tell-all interview with her past love Tiger Woods and revealed that she has no regrets but only love for him after 3 years of relationship.
“I mean, I love him and I still love him,” Vonn told CNN’s Alpine Edge show. “I had an amazing three years with him. Sometimes things just don’t work out and unfortunately it didn’t work out for us.”
Despite of what the couple have been through, the 31-year-old athlete says that she has had no regrets on having relationship with the golf superstar.
"But I don't have any regrets and I think we're both in a pretty good place,” Vonn shared.
Vonn, 31, and Woods, 39, mutually called it quits on their relationship in May, citing their “hectic lives” as the main reason to pull the plug after nearly three years together, UsWeekly wrote.
According to Biography.com, Vonn made headlines in 2012, when it was reported that she was dating American golf superstar Tiger Woods. The pair went public with their romance in March 2013. Way back, she was previously married to former competitive skier Thomas Vonn from 2007 to 2011.
The romance between her and Tiger Woods were in full swing, according to CNN, Woods, who divorced ex-wife Elin Nordegren in 2010, spoke glowingly of Vonn and let his kids, Sam and Charlie, get to know the skier. Vonn attended tournaments to support him on the golf course, while Woods also showed up at Vonn's World Cup races.
And when asked if she is still open to date again, despite of having no regrets with her relationship with Woods:
"I'm enjoying just kind of focusing on myself right now," she said. "I've realized that I only have, realistically, three good years of racing left. So it's kind of nice to just focus on that and focus on my career. But I don't know, you never know what's going to happen."
