On Monday, USA Today pointed out that the action star has scored the number one spot in IMDB's Top 10 Stars of 2015. The rest of the list happens to consist only of women.

The rest of the Top 10 stars in order include: Emilia Clarke, Margot Robbie, Alexandra Daddario, Dakota Johnson, Shailene Woodley, Rebecca Ferguson, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rosamund Pike and Lily James.

Hardy is known for roles in Mad Max and The Dark Knight Rises although there are people who forget that he doesn't look exactly like the roles he plays.

"People know who Tom Hardy is, but his most popular years are ones where he's worn masks like Bane or the face clamp in Mad Max," IMDB managing editor Keith Simanton said. "People go, 'Who is this guy?' And then they go look him up. Just like they ask who the actress is in Jurassic World or the one in Fifty Shades of Grey."

The fact that so many women are in this list shows the editor how there are more action-packed roles for females.

"Honestly, I would say this dominance shows there are stronger roles for women now," Simanton said.

Some of Hardy's other credits include Inception, Warrior and upcoming flick The Revenant where he will star alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
