A crossover between NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans is in the works!

What Does Emily Wickersham Think Of 'NCIS' Character Ziva David?

Before the Thanksgiving holiday, the two casts began filming for this special crossover, which will air in 2016. It seemed as though the NCIS team from Washington, D.C. will be heading to New Orleans.

So far viewers of the two CBS series know that Emily Wickersham's character, Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop, and Zoe McLellan's character, Meredith Brody, will definitely have scenes together and possibly go undercover considering they snapped some photos on set with a drum set.

Viewers also know the crossover will feature more of Abby Sciuto's (Pauley Perrette) family life since Tyler Ritter has been cast as her adopted brother Luca.

Fans could add a bit more knowledge to what they know since New Orleans star Rob Kerkovich, the portrayer of Sebastian Lund, seemed to film scenes with Perrette Tuesday.

On Monday the actress dished about being "back on set" with her TV family.

Then on Tuesday, Kerkovich shared a photo of himself beside her in what looks like Abby's lab, especially considering Perrette is dressed in Abby's lab coat.

"Screw Batman v Superman, THIS is the team-up I'm most psyched to see in 2016," he mused.

It sounds like these forensic specialists will be putting their heads together to solve whatever case their teams are covering.

NCIS airs on Tuesdays on CBS at 8 p.m. ET, with NCIS: New Orleans following at 9 p.m. ET.
