Someone else we know on ABC's Castle may have been involved in the Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) going missing plot.

We still don't know the full story behind Castle's vanishing before his wedding during the season 6 finale. Episode 14 of this season, which airs in the spring, could tease a familiar face being involved in his vanishing, according to a new TVLine report.

The report clarified that the familiar face is not Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), who was previously revealed by Castle showrunner Alexi Hawley as being involved in some way with the storyline.

"We haven't nailed the story down for it, but we do like the idea that something that Castle came across during his missing time is actually why his memory was wiped - and it wasn't necessarily about the reason we showed in Season 7," Hawley said in a previous TVLine article. "And it does have something to do with Beckett. But we haven't nailed it all the way down yet."

Hawley said that the Castle-missing arc wouldn't be brought up again right away when Castle returns in February. It will be saved for a little later in the season.

Episode 14 will also feature Castle, Alexis (Molly Quinn) and Hayley (Toks Olagundoye) conducting an investigation into a murder connected to an NYPD case, says TVLine.

Castle returns for the second half of season 8 on Monday, Feb. 1 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
